Ive been to st marys in leeds several times but not been for a couple if years. They used to hold groups and regular check ups with a pdoc. They can be very boring and it does depend on the group of people that are in at any one time. Sometimes you go for a couple of weeks or it could be a couple of months

I went to a day hospital in Vermont for a few months. It was mostly classroom sessions where we listened to the instructor or other clients or ourselves talk. There was also a relaxation training session at the end of each day. I think it went from 9am to 3pm each day and we got let out for a half hour lunch. Sometimes I'd bring my lunch or I'd drive to a fast food place. Sometimes I'd skip lunch and go outside, and lie down on the tailgate of my truck in the sun. I don't know if the day hospital helped me. I guess it gave me some structure in my life. If I wasn't there I probably would have just laid in bed all day.
